It is prepared both according to the classic recipe from tomatoes and peppers, and with the addition of other vegetables: onions, carrots, zucchini, eggplant, beans, etc. In Siberia, for example, lecho with the addition of onions and carrots is very popular. Ingredients for lecho siberian
To prepare lecho in Siberian you will need:
- 1.7 kg of tomatoes;
- 0.5 kg of onion;
- 0.5 kg of bell pepper;
- 0.5 kg of carrots;
- 100 g of sugar;
- 100 g of vegetable oil;
- 25 g of salt (1 tablespoon without slide);
- 1 teaspoon of vinegar essence
The method of preparation lecho in Siberian
First you need to prepare the vegetables: rinse well, peel the onions and carrots, remove the tail and seeds from the peppers. Chop or chop tomatoes through a meat grinder.
Carrots need to be cut into strips. Onions ─ half rings. Peppers are also half rings, only wider than onions.
Put the pot with tomatoes on the fire.
When it boils, add carrots, onions and peppers.
Cooking time lecho in Siberian ─ 30 minutes over medium heat. About 5 minutes before the end of cooking add salt, sugar, carefully pour the vegetable oil and vinegar at the very end.
