You can add any nuts, dried fruits and seeds to the granola - everything you like, without restrictions, only the taste and wallet can dictate which ingredients to use. The principle of preparing granola is simple: oatmeal fried in a dry frying pan is mixed with nuts, seeds and dried fruits, seasoned with melted honey and baked. Then you can cut the granola into bars or break into small pieces.

- 200 g of instant oatmeal;

The method of preparation of homemade granola
We take a large cast-iron pan, pour oatmeal, put on the stove. Constantly stirring, heat over moderate heat. Fry the flakes until they turn golden.
All seeds are fried separately. They have different sizes, therefore, they need different times for their frying. First, put the sunflower seeds, stirring, cook them until golden brown.
Then fry blanched peanuts. We chop the nuts with a knife or crush with a wooden pestle in large crumbs.
White sesame seeds will cook very quickly, especially if you pour it into a hot skillet. As soon as it is gold, you need to pour the seeds on a cold plate or board.
Dried apricots and dates are cut into strips or small cubes. It is very convenient to “cut” dried fruits with tailor's scissors - it turns out quickly.
Pour oatmeal, dried fruits and fried seeds into a deep bowl.
Add flax seeds, they do not need to be pre-processed.
To give an oriental aroma and taste, season the dish with ground cinnamon and orange peel powder. Instead of powder, you can remove the zest from an orange or lemon.
We put a clean bowl in a water bath. Put butter, honey and 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (cane can) in a bowl. We heat the mass until it becomes liquid, remove from the stove.
Pour the melted mass into a bowl with the rest of the ingredients, mix thoroughly until the products soak the honey and oil.
