Christmas dessert from cookies without baking
This is a very quick and tasty New Year's dessert made from cookies, for the preparation of which simple ingredients are needed and no pastry experience is needed. Dessert - without baking, nevertheless, it turns out simply delicious! Portion balls of creamy shortcrust pastry covered with crispy glossy fondant and decorated with multi-colored sprinkles look very New Year's on the festive table. Glaze can be divided into several parts and tinted with food colors of different colors - New Year's balls are obtained almost like real ones!

Ingredients for a dessert without cookies
- 300 g of sweet shortbread cookies;
- 160 g butter;
- 30 g of powdered sugar;
- 1 tablespoon of brandy;
- 2 tablespoons of milk;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract;
- 200 g of confectionery fudge (powder);
- 30 ml of drinking water;
- confectionery topping;
A method of preparing a New Year's dessert from cookies without baking
Beat butter softened at room temperature for several minutes until it becomes lush and light. Add the icing sugar and a pinch of fine salt. Beat everything together for another 3 minutes, you get a very light, smooth homogeneous mass.
We add cookie crumbs to whipped butter, pour milk and cognac, mix thoroughly. If the dessert is intended for children, replace cognac with milk or cream.
Add the vanilla extract, knead the dough, it will turn out to be thick and quite sticky, as it should be. We remove the dough for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator.
One ball will need a teaspoon with a slide of dough, no longer needed - large balls are difficult to glaze. We put a lump of dough on the palm of your hand, greased with vegetable oil, roll up the ball, put it on parchment for baking. At this stage, the New Year’s dessert needs to be cooled significantly, so either send it for half an hour or an hour to the refrigerator, or for 15-20 minutes to the freezer.
In the meantime, prepare the icing. Pour the finished confectionery fudge in powder into a deep bowl. Cool boiled water to 50 degrees Celsius, add water to the powder in small portions, mix. You get a bright white paste, it is not stored, so you need to glaze immediately. You can also glaze this dessert with melted white chocolate or chocolate icing.
We chop the cooled balls on wooden skewers, dip them into the icing, spread them on parchment, sprinkle with a multi-colored confectionery sprinkle. Instead of wooden skewers, you can take a toothpick, a canapé fork or two ordinary forks.
We put the finished New Year's dessert from cookies without baking in the refrigerator, leave it in a cool place until serving. Enjoy your meal.
