Chicken with pumpkin in milk sauce can be cooked for lunch or dinner - this is a very quick and tasty hot dish that has everything you need. So to say, three in one - and meat, and side dish, and sauce. The pumpkin can be used either fresh or frozen, preferably nutmeg, it has a bright flesh and a pleasant aroma. If the chicken breast fillet seems dry to you, then replace it with meat from the hips, it is more juicy, and it takes as much time to cook.

Ingredients for Chicken with Pumpkin and Milk Sauce
- 300 g chicken breast fillet;
- 150 g of onions;
- 150 g carrots;
- 300 g of pumpkin pulp;
- 25 g butter;
- 20 g of wheat flour;
- 200 ml of milk or cream;
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon;
- 40 g parmesan;
- salt, pepper, frying oil.
The method of cooking chicken with pumpkin in milk sauce
Lubricate the pan with refined vegetable oil, put on the stove. Put butter in a frying pan when it melts, add finely chopped onions, sprinkle onions with a pinch of salt. On moderate heat, fry the onion to a translucent state.
Cut the chicken breast fillet into very small cubes, add the chopped fillet to the fried onion, knead with a spatula so that the meat does not gather in large lumps.
Fry the chicken with onions for 5 minutes, then add the carrots cut into thin strips or grated on a grater.
Cook the vegetables with chicken for another 10 minutes, until the carrots are soft, at the end, add salt and pepper, freshly ground black pepper to taste.
To prepare chicken with pumpkin in milk sauce, take nutmeg pumpkin, peel, remove seeds, cut into small cubes. Heat 1.5 liters of water to a boil, add salt, put the cubes of pumpkin in boiling water, cook for 6-7 minutes, put it in a colander.
Spread slices of pumpkin in a pan, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, mix gently, warm everything together.
Pour wheat flour into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, gradually pour in cold milk, mix with a whisk. If in this recipe for chicken and pumpkin pour all the milk at once, then the flour will get into lumps that will have to be ground, so pour the milk in small portions.
Pour the sauce into a pan with chicken, bring to a boil, warm over low heat until thickened. This will take about 3 minutes.
