Nature-like EM technology is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional farming.
As soon as the snow melts in the summer cottages, gardeners with bated breath await the appearance of the first flowers. The eye is not overjoyed when, upon arrival at a country house or cottage, we are surrounded by colorful picturesque greenery. With organic EM technology, it’s really possible at your summer cottage to grow not only a crop for your health in simple and safe ways, but also an incredible flower garden that will serve as a fantastic landscape solution for many years, and warm your soul on rainy days, and the biological product “Baikal” EM-1 ”, specially developed by EM technology, will help achieve a new stage in the development of floriculture.
Domestic gardeners and gardeners are actively using Baikal EM-1 in their areas. By EM technology, farmers in Russia and neighboring countries have been effectively cultivating rich harvests of potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, strawberries and watermelons, grains, legumes and other crops for many years without harm to nature and at minimal cost.
So, 10 tips on the quality cultivation of flower and decorative crops this spring.
Tip 1. The best flowers for planting in spring
Many types of garden flowers can be planted in spring as seedlings, for example, flowers that are more adapted to any climate are especially popular among gardeners, they tolerate temperature extremes and are easy to care for: petunia, purslane, marigolds, gladiolus, saffron, calendula, aster, cosmea, zinnia, chamomile, pansies, etc. In colder regions of Russia, the period of planting of flowers begins only at the end of May, when there are no threats of frost.
Tip 2. The timing of planting flower seedlings
Growing seedlings of flowers just falls on March - April and requires hard work and certain practical knowledge. If there is no experience yet, then it is better to start with large seeds, such as zinnias, dahlias, you can also try to grow petunia and purslane. The seeds of these plants germinate quickly, and do not cause any problems if you follow the simplest rules for growing seedlings. Planting time depends on how quickly the seeds germinate, and on how long after flowering occurs.
Tip 3. Healthy nutrition for flowers
Using nature-friendly technologies when growing plants, it is best to pay attention to the biological product “Baikal EM-1”, since it is already 20 years old and has undergone many studies that can be read here. It is mainly used as a solution for soaking planting material. In a solution (1: 1000–1: 2000, 1 tablespoon of an EM preparation per 10 liters of water) for 2 hours, but no more, the plant rhizomes, bulbs, seedlings and so on are soaked. During growth and development, a solution from the Baikal EM-1 preparation (1: 1000) is sprayed onto the plants weekly.
Tip 4. Caring for a petunia
Petunia has a very powerful root system, so it needs a lot of land and good nourishment. We recommend watering seedlings of petunia with a solution of EM-drug in a concentration (1: 1000). The leaves will be succulent and the flowers large, the flowering period will also increase.
Tip 5. Caring for roses
The leaves of the rose will acquire an intense color, become leathery with shine, active growth and tillering will begin if the cuttings are treated (up to 3 times) in the form of spraying on the leaves and watering with a 200 ml working solution of Baikal EM-1 (1: 1000).
Tip 6. Caring for gladioli
We recommend treating gladioli in the form of 3-fold watering and spraying of bulbs with Baikal EM-1 (1: 1000) every 10 to 14 days. This will significantly affect the powerful development of the root system and its recovery.
Tip 7. Caring for Dahlias
Dahlia tubers are first soaked in an EM solution for 1-2 hours. The roots of dahlias before laying for storage are treated with an EM solution (1: 100). Thanks to simple procedures using Baikal EM-1, pathogenic microflora is suppressed, resistance to diseases is increased, and the appearance of sprouts is increased.
Tip 8. Lily Care
Bulbs of lilies before planting for 10-15 minutes are recommended to be treated with an EM solution (1: 1000). Weekly early in the morning, in the evening or before rain, spray the flowers with EM-solution (1: 1000). Excellent results will be obtained when spraying plants with knapsack sprayers or watering cans (1: 100) in the rain.
Tip 9. The best pest protection - attack
Long-term practice of applying EM technology has proven that when any “Baikal EM-1” is introduced into the soil and on the surface of plants, the community of beneficial microbes affects their new habitat in such a way as to make it more favorable and safe for themselves. This leads to increased immune properties of soil and plants, their resistance to diseases and other adverse factors. Completely healthy plants pests, as a rule, bypass. If light roses are sprayed daily with EM-5, this procedure will prevent thrips from damaging the buds.
Tip 10. Alternative to pesticides
For a good result in the summer, EM compost can be added to the flower aisles 3-4 weeks after the start of fermentation (2 kg / linear meter). On compost-free soil, lay compost (10 kg per m2). Cut weeds and leave them between rows, pouring with EM-solution (1: 1000 2-3 l / m2), adding infusions of garlic, wormwood, red pepper to the preparation, the effectiveness of the EM-preparation is enhanced. By applying EM technology, pesticide treatment will be reduced.
For fast growth and good survival, it is recommended to spray Baikal EM-1 with a working solution (1: 2000).
In total, following our advice and using the Baikal EM-1 microbial complex, you can grow your own garden, flower buds will be larger, brighter and their number will increase two to three times.
