Cooking Halloween Pumpkin Jack Cookies
Mix the dough. First butter and sugar, then yolk, after wheat flour. If the mixture is too dry and crumbly, then add a tablespoon of water, milk or cream. Ready dough is placed in a cold place for 10 minutes.
On thick white paper we print a sketch of the future cookie. Its dimensions are arbitrary, but from my own experience I will say that it is easier to paint with glaze on large cookies.
Pour a little flour on the table, divide the dough into 10 parts, roll each part with a layer 6-7 mm thick. Transfer to a baking sheet, spread out, leaving free space between the cookies.
The baking temperature is 170 degrees Celsius. Oven time 10 minutes. Cool the finished cookies on a baking sheet.
We transfer the contour of the future drawing to the blanks, an ordinary simple pencil is suitable for this. From white protein and icing sugar we mix white icing, based on it we mix the necessary colors. Using a brush, we apply a thin layer of gray glaze to all the blanks: eyes, mouth, nose of the evil Jack.
Mix the orange icing, paint over the pumpkin. If you draw ribs on a pumpkin at short intervals (about 2-3 minutes), then they turn out to be voluminous.
After the main color of the pumpkin dries, with a light gray glaze we draw the hat of the evil Jack.
White glaze can be applied after the gray and orange have completely dried. We make a buckle on a hat, teeth, eyes.
We make the ribbon on the hat brown, but you can set your own colors. You can draw the tape after the white glaze dries (15-20 minutes), otherwise the colors will mix.
We give a little elegance to the picture, draw bright curls with green glaze. To make the lines thin and elegant, use a pastry bag with a thin creamy nozzle. The smaller the hole, the more beautiful the curl line will be.
Cookies for Halloween should be put in a dry, warm, inaccessible (especially for children) place for 12 hours. Protein and sugar based icing should only dry under natural conditions. After 12 hours, the pattern on the cookie will fix, dry and gain strength.
